agree with the Thompson: Dr Huang and his colleagues have produced a masterly report, and the comments i the Exco memorandum (presmably reflecting the views of the Education Department) are side and unworthy. But the important thing is that the Hong Kong Government have accepted the report's recommendations. We shall need to consider in due course whether to volunteer information about the final report to any of those MP's etc. who pre- viously expressed an interest - the case, even if they themselves do not revert to the subject.
