28. (a) The Director may approve the employment of
temporary replacements of the appropriate

paid sick leave for a period longer than
90 days; paid study leave; paid vacation leavo

A tempor.ry replacement may also be approved,
to fill a vacancy on the staff of an uided
secondary school in circumstances where it
appears to the Lirector that the appointment
ΟΙ a supply teacher, under the terms of
section 27 of this Code of Aid would be
inappropriate.

A capitation grant shall be paid half-yearly
in advance. The amount of grant shall normally
bc assessed on approved enrolment at the rates shown at Appendix 9. The amount of grant may
be roviewed if school enrolment falls below
90% of approved enrolment. Approved enrolment
is subject to the following maximum levels :

Items of expenditure which may be charged to
the capitation grant account are shown at Appendix 10. Any surplus in the capitation
grant account shall be carried forward and
accumulated from year to year in that account,
to be treated as a reserve (see scction 12).
The promises of an aided secondary school,
including furniture and equipment, shall be
insured against loss or damage by fire to
their full capital value, and the full premium
shall be charged to capitation grant.
