Question 1.

When an employee is unable to work because of sickness,

does your company consider whether the employer has the

responsibility to pay him wages or salary?

48.4% of the employers (N 450) considered part of their

responsibility to pay their employees wages or salary when an employee

was unable to work because of sickness. 28.2% of the employers considered

that they had sole responsibility towards such payment and 12.9% of the

employers considered that they had no such responsibility. 10.4% specified

other considerations. (Table 10002)

Question 2. Whose responsibility, the employer's or the employees',

does your company consider it is to contribute to the

employees' medical expenses?

(1) The employer has sole responsibility.

(2) Shared between the employer and employee.

considered that they had sole responsibility while 33.8% considered that

employees should pay all their medical expenses. 10.4% specified
