As a member of the Anglo-Hong Kong Parliamentary Group Mr Clarke has often shown a sympathetic interest in Hong Kong's affairs. He has put down one PQ on Hong Kong so far this year about workmen's compensation. His questions are clearly

intended to bring out Hong Kong's recent progress in social

development.
