(iii)
Improve the general standard of education at secondary level, for example by harmonisation of curricula and teaching methods;
(iv)
Increase the resources devoted to enforcement of attendance at schools, particularly once the new laws making three years of secondary education compulsory come into effect;
(v) Increase subsidies to children from poor families to enable them to pursue their studies beyond basic secondary level (Form.4 and upwards).
(x) Ensure that adequate places are available in government schools for all who require them (this is in fact part of the present plan but there is some doubt as to whether it can be achieved by 1980).
(vii) Expand the number of places available in technical institutes;
(viii) Expand the number of places available at tertiary level (perhaps by according recognition, with adequate controls, to private establishments such as Baptist College);
