My reasons why the Kowloon Canton Railway Station

should be preserved:

-

-

It is one of the oldest building: in Hong Kong

It is not just being old, it is still usable

It has been a symbol of the Kowloon Peninsula

for half a centuary

It is not only desirable, but possible, for it

to co-exist with the Cultural Complex

Hong Kong residents would not gain from its

demolition; the only party who would gain from its demolition is the private developers

Hong Kong needs places for public activities and

the Station would be an ideal site

In a word, I do not think the demolition of the

Station would add to the interest of the public
