You may be interested to see the enclosed translation of an editorial in the "Express" on 26 January as an amusing sidelight on the way in which the inaccurate AP story has been taken up here. The editorial adds plenty of inaccuracies of its own. It is a generally neutral newspaper with some KMT leanings and, as you can see, is not very reliable.
