1. Please refer to your letter (151) in CR5/2241/47 III of 14 July asking for approval to the draft Proclamation in respect of the new one dollar piece legal tender.

2. I am pleased to inform you that the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury and the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs have given their approval for the new coin to become legal tender from 14 August 1978.
