IV. RESTS MADE BY CERTAIN THIRD COUNTRIES FOR ADJUSTMENTS

TO THE ALLOCATION AMONG MEMBER STATES

The Committee had before it a revised version of the table compiled by the Commission on 10 May 1978

(see IT - 397/78 rev. 1).

Most of the proposed adjustments contained in this table were accepted by the Committee.

However:

the United Kingdom delegation upheld its reservation on the proposed adjustment concerning category 2/Thailand;

the Netherlands delegation entered a reservation on the increase for Benelux of 10,000 items of products in

category 30.A originating in Singapore;

the German delegation entered a reservation, pending further thought, on the proposed increase of 80 tonnes for category 3 products originating in Thailand.

V. OTHER BUSINESS

1. Allocation of Community limits among Member States

The Commission representative distributed to the Committee, for information, some tables giving a breakdown anong Member States of the Community quantitative limits for 1979 to 1982 (1).

The Commission representative stated that these figures were for guidance only, and would shortly be supplemented.
