(iii) The Committee agreed that at its next meeting it
would begin discussing the general guidelines for Community policy towards preference countries.
The Commission representative said that in
the week commencing 23 October he would forward specific suggestions on the OPT arrangements to be made regarding preference countries.
III. PROBLEMS TO DO WITH THE IMPORT OF CATEGORY 46 PRODUCTS
ORIGINATING IN ARGENTINA, BRAZIL AND URUGUAY

The Commission representative informed the
Committee that following the official basket withdrawal
applications made by France and Italy consultations
were to be held with Argentina on 13 November 1978 and with Uruguay on 14 November 1978, An approach had been made to set a date for a consultation meeting with Brazil.
