(ii) The Italian delegation asked that, further to the difficulties encountered by France and Italy
regarding products in catagory 1, the problem raised by category 32 products also be raised in the talks to be held with Turkey.
(f) Morocco/Tunisia
Talks were to continue at the beginning of
November.
2. General considerations
(i) The Commission representative informed the Committee · that in the week commencing 23 October he would be sending the Spanish, Greek, Portuguese and Turkish authorities a Note Verbale inviting them to negotiate multiannual arrangements with the Community.
He went on to say that it was the Commission's intention to complete these negotiations by the end of November so that the Council could take a decision on the arrangements at its December meeting.
He also said that the Article 113 Committee Working Party on Textiles would be kept regularly up-to-date on the progress of the negotiations.
(ii) The Committee felt that it would be useful to have a timetable of the meetings due to take place with the preference countries,
