Maximum Continuous Availability

The period during which the Ship will usually be expected to be at

normal notice or less is 21 days. This includes the "maximum continuous

period at sea or at immediate notice".

Maximum period away from Base

The maximum period that the ship will usually be expected to

operate without recourse to Base Support for both material and man-

power is 21 days. This may be extended to 40 days, occasionally, for

operational reasons.

Overside Support Requirements. There will be requirements for:

(1)

Electrical Power.

(2) Fuel and Water.

(3) Telephones.

(4) Cranage.

(5) Workshop facilities.

(6) Assistance from Craft Support Unit.

Limited Support Period

(1) The normal interval between the end of one LSP and the begining

of the next will be 21 days.

(2) Duration 3 effective working days.
