MILITARY VHF

In order to provide satisfactory command and control communications in the

peculiar environment of Hong Kong, a special VHF net is required.

characteristics of this are:-

The

(1) A re-broadcast station will be required and should be located at the

highest available point. (Preferably Tai Mo Shan).

(2) The operating frequencies should be between 30 MHz and 76 MHz.

(3) The equipments should be capable of tuning to any frequency in the band.

(4) It should employ frequency modulation.

(5) It should be capable of accepting 16 Kb secure speech.

(6) Five additional terminals will be required for installation ashore:
