Exercise TROJAN HORSE is currently scheduled to take place in Hong Kong sometime during January/February next year. It is yet another in the series of contingency communications exercises designed to test the communications required to support Joint Theatre Plans.

2. This exercise will involve the deployment of about 35-40 men plus their equipment for a period of up to three weeks. As in the case of Exercise SANDY ROADS, our exercise planners would also like to send out to Hong Kong a small reconnaissance team, probably in May.

I would imagine that there are no problems about the siting or timing of this exercise but I should nevertheless appreciate your clearance.
