As you are probably aware, I am responsible in the London Office, for the vacation activities of the Hong Kong administrative officers at Oxford. This year there are nine members of the course, of whom two are accom- panied by their wives.

The activities I am arranging include:
weekend visits to Merseyside and Bolton to see something of urban problems and achievements and of the textile industry respectively.
a 10 day course in December at the RIPA on central and local government and the role of London as a financial centre.
a 10 day visit at Easter to Brussels and Geneva based on the international organisations.
a 10 day visit to Scotland in June to give a general oversight of a region of the U.K. and to explore the theme of Scotland as a separate nation. This visit is organised through the Scottish Business School.
