Social Welfare

The 1977 White Paper laid down a 10 year programme of Social Welfare Developments including: the introduction

of a Central Registry for the Disabled; improving the integration of the disabled into the community; and expanding welfare services for the young and old. Additionally, the current Public Assistance Scheme will be continued and improved, although this is obviously closely related to paragraph (a) above.
