To advise whether the pro- cess of diversification of the economy can be facilitated by the modification of existing policies or the introduction of new policies.

To produce a bi-monthly report on the economy.

To publish a report on the economy which updates the situation described in the Economic Background to the 1978-79 Budget.

The committee has met 11 times and has considered 29 papers.

Report discussed at the Working Group on Developments in the Economy, the Economic Review Committee and the Governor's Committee. А сору was circulated to Executive Council and Legislative Council.

Drafting of the document has started.

To prepare papers for further meetings.

Action completed.
