Unofficial member of EXCO since 1974. Born 1912

Married with four children.

Chairman of Winsor Industrial Corporation and Managing Direcotr of several textile companies. Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Mr Ann suffered a serious illness two years ago and this appears to have led to a deterioriation in his performance.

Mrs Catherine Joyce SYMONS

Unofficial member of EXCO since 1976. Born 1918. A widow of

Eurasian stock.

Headmistress of Diocesan Girl's School since 1973. Member of the

Board of Education, Unofficial Members' ICAC Complaints Committe

Advisory Committee on Corruption and Operations Target Committee

of ICAC.

Mr Symons is well respected for her views on educational matters but on other matters her ipinions tend to be somewhat superficial.

The Government describes her as being a disappointment on EXCO.

Peter Fordon WILLIAMS

Unofficial memeber of LEGCO since 1972. Born 1920.

Married with two children

Chairman of Dodwell Hong Kong Limited, Inchcape (Hong Kong) Limited and Hong Kong Electric Company Limited; Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation; Director of a large number of firms

with a British interest.

Chairman of the Stewards of the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club, member

of Government Containes Committee and the Council of the Chinese

University.

Mr Williams has asked to retire.
