Fursuant to the provisions of section 5 (1) (b) of the Virgin Islands (Constitution) Order 1976, Her Majesty The Queen is pleased to designate the holder of the office of Attorney-General to assume and perform during Her Majesty's pleasure the functions of the office of Governor if at any time the office of Leputy Governor is vacant or the holder of the office is absent from the Virgin Islands or is for any other reason unable to assume and perform the functions of the office of Governor when that office is vacant or the holder of that office is absent from the Virgin Islands or is for any other reason unable to perform the functions of the office.
