CAPITAL PUNISHMENT IN THE DEPENDENT TERRITORIES : THE OUTSTANDING CASES

1. I submit the latest monthly revision of the table setting out the position on current capital cases in the Dependent

Overseas Territories.

2. In the last month the following have been dropped from the table: Sylvester Gaston (BVI - sentence was commuted by the Governor), J Watler (Cayman Islands - no longer a capital case since the victim has recovered).

3. There is one new case in Bermuda on which we have asked

for further details.
