I have discussed what you offer with General Jackson who is content to accept that the shirt sleeve order shirts and trousers, being analogous to a civilian Governor's informal day wear, cannot be a charge against FCO funds.
He will, as a result, be letting me have bills in due course for the remaining items which I shall pass to you for payment.
