7.18 Paragraph 7.17 will apply if the Hinister uccides as a result of an examination. by a medical referee under paragraph 7.15 that the Governor is not of good health, and if the Governor subsequently provides a report to the contrary by a physician or surgeon of consultant standing who had before him at the time he made the report a full statement of the Governor's medical history.

7.19 The fee payable to any physician or medical referee for an examination under paragraph 7.15 will be paid by the Governor examined at the time of the examination. The fee required for an examination under paragraphs 7.16 or 7.17 will be paid by the Minister. Where a Governor chooses to be examined by a medical board under paragraph 7.18, he will first pay to the Minister a fee for the examination of £6.30 (or of any smaller amount prescribed by the Minister) this fee will be repaid to him if as a result of the examination the Minister decides that he is of good health.

7.20 Reports on medical examinations made under the preceding paragraphu will be submitted direct to the Minister, and neither the contents of the reports nor the reasons for the Minister's decision will be disclosed to the Governor who has been examined.

7.21 If the Minister is satisfied that a Governor is of good health, and the date of the Governor's retirement is postponed to a date more than three months after the date of the medical examination, the Minister may require him to undergo further medical examination.
