consider whether or not to make an aliqcation, The Minister will also inform him of
any subsequent alteration of the proble date of retirement and changes in the
provisional estimate of the pension for which he will be eligible.
7.13
A Governor who intends to make am allocution must inform the Minister to thei effect and give on the form provided the required particulare about the beneficiary; and the beneficiary must sign the form, unless the Minister is satisfied that he is
unable, through infirmity or for some other reason, to do so.
7.14 On receipt of the information required under paragraph 7.13, the Governor will be required by the Minister to supply at the Governor's own expense:
(a) a certified copy of his birth certificate, unless the date of his birth
is recorded in the Department of the Minister and the date is not disputed;
and
(b) a certified copy of the beneficiary's birth certificate and (in the case
of a woman who has been married) marriage certificate, and any other evidenco
or information which the Minister considers necessary.
If a birth or marriage certificate cannot be supplied, the Manister may accept such
cvidence of birth or marringe as he thinks fit.
Medical examination
7.15 When the particulare required under paragraphs 7.13 and 7.14 have been suppliot,
arrangements will be made for the Governor to be medically examined by one of the
consultant physicians to the Ministry of Overseas Development or a doctor nominated
by the Minister. If the Minister is not satisfied that the Governor is of good health, he will notify him accordingly and will offer him an opportunity to be examined further by a medical reforce to be selected by the Minister.
7.16 In the light of the medical examination provided under paragraph 7.15, the Minister may feel that the Governor's health is not satisfactory but that it may improve in the near future. If so, the Minister may appoint a special closing date in order that a further medical exomination may be arranged at a later
date.
