REPLACEMENT OF NAVAL

PATROL CRAFT

Patrol Craft

(SCR 6/57 III)

To reach agreement on the replacement programme for the present patrol craft when their present economic life expires in about 1982.

Draft paper in support of a Naval Staff Target (NST) has been received from MOD. HKG's and CAPIC's comments on draft have been forwarded to MOD by HQBF.

Await advice on outcome of consideration of NST by MOD (Navy).

RELATIONS WITH SERVICES

2. Re-provisioning of

RAF Kai Tak (SEC 21/01/01)

To vacate Kai Tak by 1st April, 1978

Schedules are tight.

Some slippage has occurred in the completion dates of individual items but handover target date of 1st April, 1978 is still feasible. Reprovisioning tc RHKAAF at Kai Tak will not be completed until December, 1978

Review completion dates for buildings at Sek Kong in December. To monitor progress closely and ensure that work continues to enable overall target dates to be achieved. PWD start work on RHKAAF, HQ.
