36. On 25th July, 1976, Chinese female Poon Mui-fun (3382/2734/5358) arrived at Hong Kong Airport from Bangkok. When her baggage was examined by Preventive Service officers, 6 packets containing 2.7525 kilogrammes of prepared opium were found concealed in the false bottom of her suitcase. Poon was arrested and charged with Trafficking In A Dangerous Drug. She was sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment.

37. On 26th July, 1976, Chinese male CHENG Kai-sau (6774/0796/4423) arrived at Hong Kong Airport from Bangkok. A search of his baggage by Preventive Service officers revealed 2.2884 kilo- grammes of prepared opium hidden in 8 sealed Pineapple' tins. Examination of a basket of preserved eggs which CHENG was carrying resulted in the discovery of 1.5126 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 0.5364 kilogramme of salts of esters of morphine (No. 3 heroin) concealed inside 22 of the eggs.
38. CHENG was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Trafficking In A Dangerous Drug. He was found guilty and sentenced to 7 years' imprisonment.
