45. On 24th June, 1976, Thai male Chaiyut ANANRATAPORN arrived at Hong Kong Airport from Bangkok. A search of his baggage by Preventive Service officers revealed 338.3 grammes of a mixture containing 303.5 grammes of salts of esters of morphine (No. 4 heroin) concealed inside 2 hollowed-out pumkins. ANANTRATAPORN was arrested and charged with Trafficking In A Dangerous Drug. He pleaded guilty and is now awaiting sentence.

46. On 9th January, 1976, at the Hong Kong Airport Departures Hall, Preventive Service officers intercepted Dutch males Theodorus DIKKES and Christiaan Stefan HOORN as they were about to board a flight to Amsterdam. A search of DIKKES' suitcase revealed 136 polythene packets of heroin concealed inside a Chinese style quilt jacket. HOORN's suitcase yielded 99 polythene packets of heroin, concealed in a similar manner. The total seizure comprised 3.2635 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 802.1 grammes of salts of esters of morphine.
47. DIKKES and HOORN were arrested and charged with Trafficking In A Dangerous Drug. They were both sentenced to 41 years' imprisonment.
