30. On 31st January, 1976, Thai male Pajin GOKANICHA arrived at Hong Kong Airport from Bangkok. A search of his baggage by Preventive Service officers revealed 10 prickly heat powder tins and 7 chilli-oil tins which were concealing morphine in both block and powder form. The drug comprised 4.1995 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 3.3843 kilogrammes of a salt of morphine. GOKANICHA was arrested and charged with Trafficking In A Dangerous Drug. He was sentenced to 8 years' imprisonment.

31. On 1st February, 1976, Preventive Service officers arrested Thai male Prieng KUMMUL following his arrival at Hong Kong Airport from Bangkok. The soles of KUMMUL's shoes were found to conceal 8 small blocks comprising 1.0927 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 806.4 grammes of a salt of morphine. KUMMUL was charged with Trafficking In A Dangerous Drug and sentenced to 7 years' imprisonment.
