22. In the early morning of 7th April, 1976, a party of Narcotics Bureau officers conducted a raid at a farm in Shek Wu Wai, New Territories. As the officers arrived at the farm, four men were seen escaping from the premises. Chinese males YEUNG Yee-man (2779/5030/2429) and NG Kwan-chun (0702/0981/6966) were arrested after an extended pursuit; Chinese males Ho Shui-tin (0149/3055/1131), aged 59, and Ho Hon-wing (0149/3352/2837), aged 27, believed to be the farm owner and his son, made good their escape and are now wanted in connection with this case.

23. A search of the farm revealed that a hut was being used for the manufacture of heroin, and a quantity of heroin was found to be undergoing the final drying and sieving stage of manufacture. The total seizure of heroin comprised 6.453 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 2.0962 kilogrammes of salts of esters of morphine.

24. YEUNG and NG have been jointly charged with Manufacturing A Dangerous Drug and Possession Of Dangerous Drugs For The Purpose Of Unlawful Trafficking. Both have been com- mitted to stand trial at the Supreme Court.
