I have been asked to reply to your letter of 11 November to the Prime Minister, and to thank you for sending a copy of the "Report from Hong Kong".

1 have read your paper with great interest. It is always very valuable for us to receive alternative points of view on events in Hong Kong, particularly when they are able to give us insights into the reactions of ordinary people to government policies.

I am glad that you join in the widespread support for ICAC and can assure you that there is no intention, either here or in Hong Kong, that it should not continue its activities as vigorously and, I hope, as successfully as before.
