I was not born in Hong Kong. I have resided in Hong Kong for many years. I was in the military forces in Mainland China. I came to Eong Kong after the Liberation of Canton. I knew some people when I came from Mainland China. I met many people among them

Mr. Ma who is connected with the present case. I knew him not long after my arrival in Hong Kong, 1948 or 1949. I met him in the street. He was in the police force when I met him. At that time I was out of job. I obtained employment one year later. I worked i a factory making cloth. I worked there for 2 or 3 years. During that period I saw Ma many times. During working in factory I had gone to Singapore. I can't remember what year I returned to Hong Kong but it was 20 years ago. Again I worked for a period in a weaving factory. Then I worked for Mr. Ma as a general messenger. At the beginning Mr. Ma was posted to Castle Peak later Kowloon City, then Fanling. I continued to assist him where he was posted. From Fanling he returned to Kowloon City. I continued to work for him in the same capacity. I worked for him for about a year in Kowloon City or perhaps 7 to 8 months. He took me to Causeway Bay then. At the time he took me to Causeway Bay, he was the Detective Staff Sergeant. When I went to Causeway Bay other persons followed. I only knew them by their surnames one Cheng Pak, one Uncle Luk and one Hung Chai. These are the persons who came over with him. They had come from Kowloon City.
