Objection overruled.

Mr. Hampton asks me to make a note that he was not given an opportunity to submit on his objection.

(I allowed the question.)

They lived there before I moved in. I knew there was a woman who had come to collect rent. After I moved in, sometimes Yin Tsai paid the rent, sometimes he gave me the money and asked me to pay. Very few persons lived there overnight I would be there. Sometimes Ah Kong would stay there overnight. I did not have to pay any rent for living there. I watched the premises. They did not slecp in the flat at

night so someone had to sleep there to watch the premises - I did so. Ah Yin, Ah Cheong and other persons did not sleep there at night. I moved to that promises - Tin Tsai asked me to move there. (Mr. Hampton objects to this answer as hearsay.) (Mr. Sceats withdraws last question and answer) I moved there because another person asked me to go there. I watched over the flat with pay. I was paid $600

per month. Yin Tsai paid me the money. I worked there for about 10 months. After that I returned to the New Territories. During these 10 months I was still working for Uncle Ming. For 10 odd days I came

out to work from the New Territories. Later Ah Yin again asked me to return to Hung Fook Building. I did so. The persons who came to that

building was Uncle Luk. He has no other name. Ah Lem also came and

also Hung Tsai. Ah Cheong and Ah Kong were no longer there. I think

they moved out in May. The 3 persons I mentioned came after I moved

back. Sometimes Hung Chai stayed overnight. After moving back I followed the same pattern. I went there at night. At that time,

Ah Lam paid the rent. I slept there and at the same time I watched after the premises. I was paid for looking after the premises sometimes $300-sometimes $400. Ah Lem paid me this money. I stayed there for about 6 months. They came during the day time, they would not be there during the night (Ah Lam, Luk Suk and Hung Tsai). I continued to work for Uncle Ming up to December 1972. During period when I worked in Uncle Ming's stall, I was present when this stall was raided by police once. I can't remember the

date. I was not arrested.

We left later.
