The End accused identified Exhibit A. 1(A) as a copy of the statuunt. recorded at the police station. After that statement had been taken. the 1st accused asked the 2nd accused to go along with VI Chi to Cheung Sal Strent to see if they could find VIII Chung.

Soon after the 2nd accused parked his car in Cheung Sah Stonet, he saw YIK Chang and stopped hin. The 2nd accused said he had no difficulty in-identifying YIK Chung. He identified hiseli and said he would like to ask his souething relating to a murder cast.

YIK Chung asked to go upstairs to get something and the 2d accused and WAN Chi followed him upstairs. YIK Chung pulled out a traver from a desk and took out a small wallot after which they all went down to the 2nd accused's car which was driven to the Hongkok Police Station. Both the 2nd accused and WAN Chi testified as to the time it took then to go to the wrious places. The 2nd accused mid he was not very sure what time he took YIK Chung to Longitol: Police Station but the time was between 1.00 and 2.00 acids on the 31st July. Exhibit F. 2 which is the fiongkok Report Book indicates that a report was made at 01.50 hours on the 31st July, 1973 and that a person by the name of YIK Chung vas arrested at Choung Sta Street at 02.35 hours.

The report was given to the duty officer by Al Chi. and accused telephoned the Hung Hon Folice Station and informed the D.D.X. that they had located VIK Chung. As the 2nd accused and WAN Chi was ercortine VII Chung from the police station the 2nd accused car the 1st accused arrive with the D.D.1. and LEUNG. Then the D.D.1. care instructions that they should all go to the Wanchai police station which they did in two Care. This was after a report had been made of Yi Chung's arrest to the D.0. at the Hongkok Police Station. te and accused said he did not see CHAN Loi-fat that morning. Ed accused testified that LUNG said that he would try to locate the Lift and he put fat down in his notebook and after that he drove Eule to the vicinity of the Cactus Apartment to look for the knife but nothing was found. He said thare were three of theu, LEUNG, himself and another detective whose name he couldn't remember. the vicinity of the Cactus House he asked LEUNG to retrace the route ich he took on the night of the 19th but nothing was found and the 2nd accused made an entry in his notebook which he said TUNC signed. Eloy returned to the Wanchai Police Station. The 2nd accused said he did not take LEUNG to the Harbour Hotel for breakfast nor får Lunch as he had no reason to do so. A little after 12.00 noon the 2nd accused asked LEUNG if he was willing to take him back to his Loe to look for blood-stained clothing and the 2nd accused recorted

The 2nd accused said that he and D.C. 7027 CMMG Kal-ning took me to his home but when the car was in the tunnel LAUG said, "Let's try to go to Cheung Lok to see whether those two are Shure or not." The 2nd accused thought that LEUNG was referring to the two persons whose names are mentioned in Exhibit A. 1(1). Zd accused drove to the Cheung Lok Bathhouse where ho, D.C. 7027 and 2000 had a bath.
