Dear Sir,

I am a taxi cab driver, driving the car BD-2675. I feel I have had great aggreivance and therefore I am compelled to write this letter to public in order to express my bitter feeling.

On 4th, Dec., 1976, a detective belonging to H.K. Royal Police Force Headquarters took my car, and ordered me to drive him to his destination. Certainly I complied without prejudice. When I took him to his destination, he ordered me to drive further far, where the road is in dangerous condition, blocked by a safety island. For the safety first, I declined. He lost his temper at once, and ordered me to drive with him to police station (Sheung Shui, N.T.), whereat I heard no warnings.

On 25th, Aug., 1977, I was served a summons, ordering me to appear at Magistrate Court (Fanling), As the Honourable Judge and The Prosecutor in charge of this case know the record very well, I wonder why ithad to be detained 5 times and then announced the verdict. I am a chauffeur. If I am caused to waste time too much, I will suffer a great loss. I doubt if there is any equity in Court.

Now, I reasonably suspect and believe that the detective who has abused his power, who has acted in collusion with the prosecutor and who has broken the judicial power. Can a man with a pistol possess all power? Or can he transgress a law knowingly? On the whole, I feel extremely an antipathy against the detective. And hoping that disciplinary action against the accomplices should be necessary.

Moreover, I wish you can make an investigation.on this matter thoroughly and guarrantee that such case should not be come about again. For your understanding, I enclose two photographs and a summons.

I can provide any further information in respect of the case if necessary. Please favour me a good explanation.

Thanking you in advance,

Yours faithfully,

Cheung Chok-kap.
