Thank you very much for the very interesting United Nations press releases on the proceedings of the Intergovernmental Working Group on Corrupt Practices sent under cover of your letter HKK 380/2 of 23rd February 1977.
In order to enable the Independent Commission Against Corruption to formulate any views which might be presented to the Working Party via the UK observers, I shall be grateful if you could send me the following :-
(i) Copies of the two statements already made by
the UK observers to the Working Group;
(ii)
The Group's report mentioned in paragraph 3 of TNC/42 of 10th February 1977;
(iii)
An outline of UK's views on the issues to be considered in the elaboration of an international agreement to prevent and eliminate illicit payments, in whatever form, in connexion with international commercial transactions. (Page 2
of TNC/38 of 8th February 1977). 3.
