permissible to use such equipment for the purposes of saving life or preventing injury to any person,
or preventing damage to property under certain
circumstances.
It will also be permissible for a
single iten of such equipment to be used in domestic
premises provided that the equipment is of a simple
hand-held type, e.g. an electric drill.
Clause 4 of the Bill provides for the
addition of a new section 38 to the principal:
Ordinance whereby the Governor may give directions to the Director of Public Works for the purposes of
section 13.

Clauses 3 and 4 are to come into operation
Clause 2 will take effect upon
on the 1st July 1979.
