that all mobile plant and equipment shall

be sound reduced to a level of 75 decibels

(dBA) measured outside the nearest occupied property for work between the hours of

8.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m.;

(c) that noise reduction equipment and baffling

arrangements appropriate to each area

specified in the Schedule and approved by

the Director of Public Works shall be

provided and used within such areas at all

times;

that blasting is prohibited outside the

confines of the tunnel between the hours

of 11.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m.; and

that the Director of Public Works may order work to be stopped if he considers that the noise created by the works is causing

unnecessary disturbance and annoyance to the public:

Provided that such conditions shall not apply

in any case of emergency work necessary to save life or property or for the safety of the works.
