Honourable Members will be asked to advise, under section 3 of the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance (Chapter 124), whether resumption of the underground strata described in para- graph 3 of the lots listed at Annex B is required for a public pur- pose, namely, the construction of the Aberdeen Tunnel.

(The Director of Engineering Development (Mr H.D. STEAD) and the Principal Assistant Secretary for the Environment (Mr Michael SUEN Ming-yeung) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item).
