Honourable Members will be asked to advise whether a short term tenancy of 148, 350 square feet of Crown land and a short term waiver of the user restrictions in respect of 116, 633 square feet of private land as shown coloured pink and edged blue respectively on the plan at Annex C should be granted (as to the tenancy) to the Lai Chi Kok Amuse- ment Company Limited and (as to the waiver) to Mr Deacon T. K. Chiu for a term of 5 years as from 1st January 1975 and at a rental and waiver fee totalling $675,000 per annum and on the basic terms set out in para- graph 4 above.

(The Secretary for the New Territories (Mr D. AKERS-JONES), the Deputy Secretary for the Environment (Mr G. BARNES) and the Principal Government Land Agent (New Territories) (Mr J.D. JOHNSTON) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item).
