PROPOSED VISIT BY THE SUN NEWSPAPER TO HONG KONG
Reference:

A.
D/DPR(A)/242/3 dated 18 January 1977.
1.
We have already discussed briefly the proposed visit by the "Sun" reporter, Mr Robert Bolton, who wishes to visit Hong Kong, for a month from about 28 of February 1977.
2.
You will see from reference A (attached) what Mr Bolton hopes to achieve. He has approached the MOD public relations organisation, where he is known as a regular reporter on the "Sun", asking for assistance. It is proposed to offer him the facilities available to all reporters under our normal arrangements for Press visits abroad.
3. I would be grateful to know that you have no objection to this proposal.
