Thank you for your letter D/DS6/41/4 of 18 February (copy enclosed for Hong Kong) about the visit to Hong Kong of lobert Bolton of "The Sun". As I said on the telephone on 22 February, we have no objection to the visit, although we would naturally hope that Mr Belton will not play up in his reports one or two of the angles in which he is interested. In this connection I would be grateful if you could ensure that the Political Adviser in Hong Kong, or his Assistant, are given an opportunity to brief Mr Bolton some time during the latter's visit.
