D. Aberdeen Development

Programme including Ap Lei Chau Bridge.

PURPOSE

To provide a phased programme for major development projects in the Aberdeen area and to monitor their implementation. All major projects to be completed by 1985 and the Ap Loi Chau Bridge to be completed by April 1979.

PROGRESS MADE & PRESENT POSITION

Development Programme prepared and agreed with Departments concerned. Approval for items in the P.W.P. is being sought as necessary through the P.W.P.C. The first of the reclamations is underway. The P.4.D. Consultants Selection Board has recommended that Maunsells (Asias) Ltd. should be the Consultants for the Ap Lei Chau Bridge; resumption notices have been served on owners of affected land. Work has begun on the construction of building in the Ap Lei Chau Licenced Area,
