PURPOSE
To complete within a year or so land grants to Hong Kong United Dockyards Ltd., Yiu Lian Machinery Repairing Works Ltd., Inland Navigation Corp. Ltd./ Chung Wah Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. Ltd.
To complete by June 1977 an Outline Plan dealing with land utilization and providing broad guidelines to future develop- ments in accordance with current policies, changing trends, population growth and other relevant factors.
PROGRESS MADE & PRESENT POSITION
ExCo advised that private treaty grants of land on West Tsing Yi should be made to Hong Kong United Dockyards Ltd. and Yiu Lian Machinery Repairing Works Ltd. Basic terms have been offered to both companies and negotiations are proceeding. Provisional basic terms for a private treaty grant of land to the South of Yiu Lian's development have been offered to Island Navigation Corporation Ltd. and Chung Wah Shipbuilding and Engineer- ing Co. Ltd. who are engaged in a joint-venture.
