A
The hospital will be a Public Works Department project and most of the furniture and equipment will be obtained by the Medical and Health Department through Government Stores. Decisions on equipment for teaching and research purposes will be taken by the University, and that for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, by the Medical and Health Department with the help of its consultant advisers. At this early stage, it is suggested that those companies who wish to bring their products to the notice of the new hospital's administration etc should direct their literature and relevant details to both the Medical Faculty (which office is already established at Sha Tin) and the Medical and Health Department (Lee Gardens, Hysan Avenue, Hong Kong).
MEDICAL FACULTY
The medical faculty will be set up adjacent to the above hospital as a faculty of the Chinese University. The first buildings are likely to be completed in 1979 and will house the Department of Anatomy, Pharmacology and Physiology. Tenders for equipment are likely to be issued early in 1978 for delivery in 1979. HK$3 million has already been earmarked for equipment and teaching aids.
