Dear John,

Thanks for your letter of the 4th August; I in fact received the note, etc. from the Consul-General in Sydney sometime ago. I am obliged for your good offices.

I have not heard any more from my accountant, but will send him an extract of your letter. He is Mr. Roger Carter of Carter Burden & Co., of Old Colony House, South King's Street, Manchester 2.

I hope to be going up to Hong Kong this weekend, if I can clear up everything here in time. Dr. Fosh and 2 of my research people from Sydney went last weekend and are, I gather, already at work.

I doubt very much whether I shall still be there in October, but perhaps you should let me know the dates of your visit so that I can keep in touch if necessary.

P.S.

Regards,

Yours sincerely,

Bork? Зак

I am afraid I have already filed Harry Hurst's letter with the material which has to be sent up in advance, but I should have acknowledged it. Would you mind thanking him for me, and particularly for the copy of George Foggon's paper which he sent me with it?
