Comments
SNEOA was established in 1958 and HKCCSA in 1949.
The former SRO was Mrs Kathleen Leung.
The 25% gratuity is paid to all officers appointed on contract terms 1.e. local as well as overseas officers.
The PIU has never carried out a survey on doctors' pay in the private sector.
The Judiciary has had no "special treatment".
There are no such ranks as "resettlement officer" and "division officer".
Departmental or grade associations may also discuss general principles of promotion at departmental consultative councils.
Officers earning below $2,500 are not necessarily manual workers. Moreover, the $2,500 limit refers to family income and not salary level of the officers.

The 1971 Salaries Commission did not "neglect" this issue: four Chapters in its Report were devoted to it.
The Typist and Demarcator disputes were not handled by the SCSc.
There is no rigid requirement for the associations to go through SRO to SCS. However, in most cases, matters raised by associations may be speedily directed to the subject officer by the SRO who is familiar with the Secretariat machine.
