APPLICATION OF ILO CONVENTIONS

1. Would you please refer to Tom Duffy's letter of 7 September

2. I understand that, during his recent visit, John Stewart had confirmation that the position set out in Tom Duffy's letter is agreed by you. This being the case, I wonder whether you are yet in a position to let us have a trial report on Convention 101.

3. In the enclosure to his letter CR7/5683/74 of 4 January, the Chief Secretary promised to let us have further thoughts on a possible programme for 1978. As far as I can tell we have not received any further information from you and, since time is now running short, I wonder if you could let us know what plans you have for the application of further Conventions.
