MEMORANDUM
The Government of Macao proposes to build an international airport in Macao which will work in conjunction with Hong-Kong's Kai-Tak airport, in order
"inter alia" to alleviate the burden of traffic on f
the latter.
This project would be benefitial both to Macao
and to Hong-Kong, and direct contacts between the au- thorities concerned in the two territories would there fore be extremely useful.
The Portguose Government would appreciate knowing 11.M. Government's position in relation to this project, and whether it would agree that the matter in all its
aspects be dealt with by the Macao and Hong Kong: authorities.
