As the vessel comes within sight of Green Island Signal Station, She is to be reported to the Duty Marine Officer, P.C.C. by the Signal Station.

(i)

The vessel will be secured to buoy A12 by means of an anchor cable and veer to one shackle on deck, such that the joining shackle lies between the windlass and the cable stopper.

(ii) If tugs are required for berthing or unberthing, they will be

arranged by the agents.

(iii) A tow wire forward, and a tow wire aft., are to be hung over-

side for emergency towage.

Berth Precautions

(i)

Provided a sufficient number of buoys are available to satisfy the needs of shipping in the Port, the harbour mooring buoys immediately adjacent to A12 will be kept vacant during the i period of the N.S. "OTTO HAHN's stay in port. This will main tain ear the 1,800 foot radius of controlled zone and low population zone.

(Note: para. 6 Pt. I of Hong Kong NUSAFE).

(ii) The master of N.S. "OTTO HAHN" and her agents are to make

arrangements with the Pilots Association and the dock companies! to have a pilot and tug provided on call at short notice through- out the visit.,

(iii) The Marine Department Harbour Services Patrol will make periodic checks and report on utilisation of the controlled zone by local craft.

(iv) The Marine Police will provide launch patrols in the vicinity

as may be required by the situation.

Liaison will be maintained with the Medical & Health Departm through Chief Port Health Officer.

Then secured to her berth the "OTTO HAHN" will be supplied with a harbour phone, through her agents.

(ii) The "OTTO HAHN" should have radiotelephone equipment onboard

capable of communicating on channels 12 and 14 (Hague Plan) with MARDEP.

(iii) The "OTTO HAHN" is to establish communication with MARDEP

daily at 1200 local time On the VHF.
