VISIT OF THE "OTTO HAHN" TO HONG KONG

1. We spoke and I undertook to put in writing our redraft of sub-paragraph (b) of the draft reply of which, under cover of my letter to you of 27 May, I asked for your clearance and which, in due course, the Hong Kong Government will be sending to the German Consulate-General in Hong Kong. It is as follows:-

"(b) that the terms of the Federal German Foreign Ministry's Note of 15 October 1976 to HBM Embassy, Bonn apply to the visit of the "Otto Hahn" to Hong Kong, in case of any claims arising from the visit."

(For ease of reference I enclose a copy of the German Note.)
