1. We spoke some days ago and I think you undertook to give me at least an interim reply to my letters to you of 27 May and 16 June on this subject. I wonder if you are yet in a position to do so?

I am a little concerned that, in the unlikely event of the "Otto Hahn's" Far Eastern trip being staged before the end of this year, lack of time may prevent us (and Hong Kong) from finalising our arrangements as we would wish.
